Creating 26 interdisciplinary research centres

At the forefront of scientific and technological research in China, we have worked on over 465 projects with 606 million Yuan (USD 87.8 million) of funding for China, Guangdong Province, Shenzhen City, the National Natural Science Foundation and Department of International Cooperation. Our 10 key laboratories and 4 research centres are at the heart of our academic experience whilst our Analysis & Testing Centre provides a vital resource for China. We are also set to dramatically increase our research impact with the creation of 26 brand new interdisciplinary research centres and 4 key laboratories.

In order to build a world-class base of scientific research innovation and a scientific exchange platform and develop the university into an international high level research university, the university is planning to build several interdisciplinary (or inter-category) integration research centers and interdisciplinary science research centers combining subject and major setup and centering on the leading professors.
